There should be a main question why and by whom "The Ideal Teachers' Training Academy" has been established? This institute flourishes through a society called "The Ideals peoples' society (IPS)" with a vision of establishing quality education and motto of Bright Teacher, Bright Pupils and Bright Citizens.
The Ideal People' Society was established on a auspicious day- Friday , the 24th April, 1998 and registered on the 24th march, 2000. Its head office lies at Kangla chingarel, Imphal East district of Manipur in a geographical region of North East frontier state of India. It is just 8 and half kilometers distance from Capital City of Imphal and lies in the Northern Side.
In March, 2011 a general body meeting was held in the office of the society and the members of the society rigidly re-affirmed with a promise to begin to run a teachers' training institute.
With a full aspiration The Ideal Peoples' Society established an institute called "The Ideal Teachers' Training Academy (ITTA)" on the 24th November, 2000 under the Registration No-227/IE/SR/2000. This training academy is situated at sajiwa Jail Gate, Imphal East District of Manipur, in the northern side from the capital city and lies in the western side of the National Highway No-150 which passes through Imphal to the Ukhrul road. Its distance is 8km from the heart of the city , Imphal.
This teachers' training is located in the middle of neighbouring district i.e. Imphal west and ukhrul district of Manipur. As in urkhul district there is neither governmental nor private teachers' training institute upto the B.Ed level it becomes only the nearest training institute which might also be taken an opportunity to undergo the B.Ed training by the educated persons who wish to posses the pure quality of a good and perfect teacher and sacrifice for the sake of the pupils.
The ideal teachers' academy shines in a clam and pacific zone. Its area is free from noise pollution and also a airy place. Consequently, it is a zone of academic. The area of its campus is about 1.86 acres. Regarding the security zone it just lies between the sajiwa jail of Manipur situated in the southern side and 38 commandos coy, Assam Rifles, Chingarel in the northern side. Thus, trainee-teacher, teaching and non-teaching staff and visitors of the training academy will be free from any threat. It also facilitates well equipped infrastructures which would be necessary for
Undergoing the B.Ed training by the Trainee-teachers. As the institute just lies nearby the NH-150, public vehicles and private vehicles are also playing through this road so this offers the opportunity towards them to go to and fro.
The theme of the motto-"Bright Teacher, Bright Pupils and Bright Citizens" of the ideal peoples' Society (IPS) is that a mere society should be transformed into good and well organized one. To transform into good society there needs to be laid a good foundation and erect stronger and rigid pillars for the future generation. Here the Ideal Peoples' society (IPS) treats the pupils as the pillars of the nation and teachers' as the Human Engineer. Like as an engineer or architect designs and frame the structures of a building a perfect and having the spirit of real teacher moulds and enlightens the knowledge of the pupils. Thus, the society is planning to establish "The Ideal Teachers' Academy" for the interest of the pupils and especially for the uplift of the society.
The society is of the opinion that imparting methodology training in the field of Education towards teachers is much for maintaining quality education in the region . In this challenging world there are many modifications in the field of education especially for the effectiveness of class room teaching –learning process. Therefore, all the teachers are compiled to be trained so as to impart their lessons effectively towards pupils and to assimilate modern context of teaching learning process. They would be the only Human Engineer who could responsible to build a great citizenship for the society. With these few dreams "The Ideal Peoples' Society" (IPS) decided to establish" The Ideal Teachers' Training Academy (ITTA)".
